In December 2023, Wyoming Interventional & Vascular Associates (WIVA) officially opened its doors, bringing a new level of specialized care to Casper. As a division of Casper Medical Imaging, WIVA was created in direct response to the shortage of vascular specialists in the state. Recruiting top-tier talent from some of the most respected institutions in the country, WIVA has assembled a dedicated team of vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, physician assistants and nurses. They all share one goal: to improve lives through innovative, compassionate care.
WIVA offers full-spectrum vascular and venous services, as well as cutting-edge pain management solutions without patients having to leave Wyoming. As the only IAC-accredited superficial venous practice in the state, WIVA is proud to offer a higher standard of care backed by years of experience. From chronic pain to deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins to vascular disease, every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, because at WIVA, no two patients are alike.
One of WIVA’s most groundbreaking offerings is Transarterial Musculoskeletal Embolization (TAME), a minimally invasive procedure developed to stop joint pain at its source. WIVA specialists performed Wyoming’s first knee embolization in 2023, followed by the state’s first ankle procedure in 2025. These both resulted in remarkable, lasting relief.
