Ashley Lasiter - Lasiter Homestead
For Ashley, owner of Lasiter Homestead, baking bread is a skill and a calling. A homeschooling mom of four “wildlings” and a passionate keeper of traditional knowledge, she found her spark in the art of sourdough. “I fell head over boots in love with the intricate process,” she says. “Sharing it with others brings my heart so much joy.”
What started as a love for home and heritage has grown into a thriving cottage bakery that offers more than just loaves. From long-fermented artisan breads and sweet treats to wildcrafted herbal remedies and freshly milled heirloom flours, Lasiter Homestead is a haven for all things wholesome and handmade.
Ashley’s faith is the root system of everything she does. “My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation I build my life and raise my children on,” she says. “Lasiter Homestead is no different.” That deep commitment shows up in every product, class and warm smile exchanged at a market table.
Beyond her bakery offerings, Ashley hosts hands-on classes to teach traditional skills like natural leavening and herbalism, wisdom that was meant to be passed down for generations. In a world often racing toward convenience, her work invites others to slow down, savor and reconnect. Casper residents turn to Lasiter Homestead for her gut-friendly, better-for-you breads, as well as the heart and heritage baked into every bite. Each item is crafted with care and minimal ingredients that nourish the body and feed the soul.
As her journey continues, Ashley sees herself right where she is: creating artisan sourdough goodies, building community and giving God the glory every step of the way. “If what I do brings happiness to the hearts and homes of others, that’s success to me.”
